Des Plaines honored fallen soldiers during today’s Memorial Day Ceremony at Lake Park Memorial Pavilion.
Wearing contemporary uniforms, students freshman Carter D., senior Brett P., senior Matthew M., senior Derek P., sophomore Liam B. and freshman Miguel P. portrayed soldiers and their family members from the Civil War through the Vietnam War, reciting a short speech about each soldier’s death and the impact it made on their family, while juniors and buglers Claire F. and Davis P. played a rendition of “Taps”.
