“I am the Warrior Way”

Decked out in gold, student leaders get ready for the "I am the Warrior Way" event planned specifically for freshmen. Throughout the day, freshman students will be paired with a leader who will take them through different activities and traits that make a good Warrior. Qualities such as finding a balance, kindness, team building, digital citizenship and successful study habits will all be discussed. The freshmen will also be provided with free gold t-shirts to prepare them for today's assembly and first football game of the year! "The purpose of what we're doing here is to give the freshmen a sense of belonging and to show that we're all warriors together even thought they've only been in the building for two weeks. We want to make them feel a part of the west side, feel a part of everything we're doing and try to take away some of the anxiety that comes with being a new student, especially in an assembly that is as crazy as ours", said Aldworth.
